An Etsy Shop and More...Bucket List Check Offs

I finally opened my own Etsy shop-something I've always wanted to do, and rented a space in the coolest vintage boutique in my small town.

It is funny and weird and one of those meant-to-be sort of things the way it all came about, but the most important thing is I am loving it all.  Well not all, like when I overwhelm myself with projects and have no time to blog or keep my house the way I want it and homemade dinner plans fall through, but I am learning to pace myself all over again.

I am just starting out but...

...here is my Instagram where I plan to sell online besides at Etsy.

(Social media is NOT my favorite thing and never will be..we will see how it goes...still working on a Facebook business account and trying not to swear as I figure it out.)

And Etsy.

I have so much more to add, but all in good time.  If you are local stop in to Vintage Groves on Louisiana Street in downtown Perrysburg.

  4. Oh, such beautiful vintage things!! I don't think Perrysburg (what state?) is anywhere near me, but if it were, I would hop in my car and head on over immediately!! Good Luck with your new business, and may your family take over some of the cooking!

  5. Welcome to Etsy! I just opened an Etsy shop this year now that my youngest is in full day kindergarten. It’s surprisingly fun! Your vintage finds (and your refinishing!) are beautiful!

  15. HI Sarah, I've been following your blog for several years, but have never commented. I love your writing, your parenting and your honesty/vulnerability. But I didn't realize that you loved to restore old furniture! How exciting that you are venturing into selling your work. I retired two years ago from my children's ministry job at our church and our two children are grown and married (we have three grandchildren so far). Then last year we downsized from our large home of nearly 30 years. So my life has been very full and pretty crazy, but just within the last few months it has settled down a bit and I've discovered a new passion... restoring vintage ladder back chairs with worn out seats. I refinish the chairs and weave new seats from cotton fabric! I LOVE finding old, tired chairs and giving them new life. So far I've just made gifts for friends and have sold a few chairs on Facebook. I'd love to try Etsy or another online shopping site, but honestly the whole shipping thing just scared me. I see that your large (BEAUTIFUL) furniture pieces are for sale. How do you manage shipping? Would you mind sharing any advice or suggestions? I would very much appreciate it! There is so much information available it's easy to get overwhelmed! Thanks so much and best wishes to you!
