A Weekly Recap

Patrick thought it was hilarious to set baby Jesus (from our Advent calendar) on baby Janey.  I think she got the joke.

Christmas books.

Please don't think less of me, but this is a joke I played on Abbey, and I must say it was a good one.  It all just came together so perfect and I couldn't resist-she is creeped out by Elfie and I thought I would rub it in a little.  We are both scaredy cats when it comes to horror movies-like we have never even watched one little part of one not even commercials for them.  She didn't see this horrible scene till it was dark and she went to change into her PJ's which make it even better.  We laughed until we cried.  Or she might have been actually really crying a little. :)  I am busy thinking of my next move.  Or she might get me back?  (No little children witnessed my immaturity just so you know, with the exception of Janey.)

St. Nicks Eve.  Missing Isaac.

Card helper.  Thanks to Andrew I had half of them finished in one evening.

  2. Sarah,
I loved the way you shared your children's favorite Halloween books by age. Would you kindly do something similar with of your favorite Christmas books? Thank you!

  3. LOL! Genius! That was the best morning laugh--EVER! All in the Christmas Spirit too :-) May I have your humour when my 10 month old girl is a teen.

    Merry Christmas,

  4. As Mama to 14 and 15 year old girls I LOVE your joke. Laughing with my girls is the reward for their occasionally crazy teenage-girl-ness.

As a side note, I am reassured that Abbie also seems to stuff her clothes into the baskets, instead of fold it neatly, and if that's not the case please don't tell me:-) Seeing all your organized and sparse closets has made me feel like a hoarder once or twice. ha

And if my 15 year old saw those VS bags she would cry in envy. Seriously. :)

  5. So funny! We don't have an elf, but if we did, I'm sure my husband and I would be pranking each other with it. I think they're creepy, too!

  8. Your elf is hilarious. Our elf left a lump of coal with a mild warning for our 8 year old with a big attitude problem this week. Kinda mean, I know...but for some reason she "listens" to that darn elf over me lately!

  14. Thank you so much for sharing Janey with us...it is so fun to watch her grow...her hair looks like it's getting thick. The picture of the shoes without Isaac made me tear up! Goes by so fast! Mine are all girls 33, 38 and 12!

  16. Hello-
I just found your blog today on Pinterest. I really love how you write and all your advice and tips. I am so sick of perfect blogs with perfect houses with moms that have everything together perfectly. I think we would be great friends, it is really weird but when I read your posts I feel like I am writing them or they are my thought exactly. We also have a dog that looks almost exactly the same. Take Care, check out my blog sometime.
