When I put her in this cute outfit I just had to laugh. She looks so thin and long. When I took her to the peds. a few weeks ago they told me she was in the 80th percentile for height and the 40th for weight. Now, I have never had a baby that wasn't matched up even in weight and height, and usually they were all 90th or above. I am not saying that in a braggy way-I guess I have tended towards growing big chubby babies and figured I always would. I feed Janey just as much as the others, but she either uses the calories to just grow longer and longer, or she burns them straight out like wild fire. I don't know what to make of it, but as a grown woman I'm sure she'll appreciate her metabolism?
Meanwhile I just laugh at her skinny body and how I put 6-9 month outfits that I had been "saving" onto her little 4 month old body and they don't snap because she's too long.

Are these from Hanna Andersson? I love those jammies. My little boy just finally got too big for the zip up ones a few months ago and I was so sad. P.S. both of my babies have been skinny but healthy!

ReplyDeleteMy son has always been in the 97th percentile for height and 50th for weight. Nothing fits him! If its long enough its way to big everywhere else. Merry Christmas!

Cutest little thing!! My boys have always been very long and skinny so I understand the clothing issues ha! Oh and you have made me brave enough to try for more babies. We have 3 boys, but I had a horrible case of hypermesis with the last, and just decided that was enough. He is now Patrick's age and I still haven't gotten over wanting more babies. Thank you for sharing all you do. You have really helped me more than you know. Merry Christmas!!

ReplyDeleteYou can come chat with me in a few years...we've got kids at the top of the chart in height and low for weight and it is a nightmare to find them jeans/pants! We've survived on Gap slims with the adjustable waists for years for all four kids. Unlike me; I was the opposite as a child. They take after their dad and it's annoying to watch them eat and eat and it never catches up! Have fun dressing her--dresses, jumpers and leggings are the way to go!

beautiful! my 8th baby is the same way- didn't do anything different but she seems "leaner" than my other babies...is it b/c we're older and our milk changes? (i'm 41.) they're healthy though and couldn't be cuter. enjoy!
