Janey is 3 months old now, and she reminds of a baby doll. She is just so cuddly but still a little floppy, getting chubbier-boy did she hit a growth spurt in the last week and filled out considerably. She smiles all the time, and laughs too. Her brothers can finally feel like she is communicating with them and they love to sit and talk with her. And talk she does. Talks up a storm. She will tell story after story and hardly waits for our replies, before she starts up again with all the latest goings-on here on Clover Lane.
Today she goes for her first shots. Yes, I am late. I am OK with being a little late. I am always very nervous about all these immunizations, but at the same time, I know they are important. (Most of them are important...I get the basic package, not the "every year we add a new one" package. My doctor is awesome and I appreciate that we can intelligently converse about my paranoia.)
My boys never seemed to care to much about shots. I think a few of them didn't even cry. But I remember Abbey looking at me like she just couldn't believe I would betray her and let someone hurt her. Janey will be the same, I just know it.
She sneezes four times in a row, always.
Isn't that cute?
YES! So cute. She is absolutely adorable Sarah! I just want to kiss and smell those sweet cheeks! And I loved your last post on sweet Abbey. What a doll. I'm so glad she is helping you so much. We all need an Abbey! Send her my way! Does she want a summer nanny job in San Diego? ;)
ReplyDelete4 sneezes... precious memories for a story decades from now :o)
ReplyDeleteSooo cute!! My son was born on 8/20 so they are just a few days apart and man If I could just freeze time right now I would:-) All the talking, smiling and laughing is just too sweet at this stage...just melts your heart. I could really use Abby....I hate food shopping too! All other shopping is good though...

ReplyDeletei think we could be besties solely on your immunization beliefs! and i love how my 23 year old daughter {who lives with us} follows what i suggest for immunizations! we chose the delayed immunization schedule. and also added to that no more than two immunizations {aka no four in one shot type deal}. and do not get me started on adding a new immunization every year. lastly, love your abbey post.
ReplyDeletehaha = 23 year old daughter has a baby. forgot to add that detail.

ReplyDeleteOh, I love this blog! Janey is so sweet and so lucky. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteOh, and must add, I am "behind" on our baby's shots and now officially behind on the catch-up orders issued by our doctor... He will not be impressed...

ReplyDeleteWe also delayed shots after my eldest reacted to his 2 months' shots. Doctors are usually very understanding but nurses, not so much. Whatever. Do what is right for you.
