Halloween 2012

In spite of a cold rainy night, we had fun.

An awesome way to get rid of LOTS of candy...college kids like ANYTHING, right?
I don't care who eats it, I just want it out of my house!
It's coming your way soon Isaac.

  1. Yes! Give it to the college kids! It felt so weird to not have it yesterday. Ours was canceled and rescheduled for Sunday. The kids would have gone despite the misty rain. Annie planned a party so she still had that...but now she's tired and crabby....so we still have yet to carve pumpkins and trick or treat!

  3. My sweet little niece had that same cute kitty costume. And one of my nephews was a werewolf almost exactly like that. :) There are definitely common themes no matter where you live. I love your candy donation box! That is a great idea. Maybe we'll try that next year. We offered to buy candy from our kids this year. They are all money hungry for different things right now. It worked pretty well. On to November and Chirstmas now! :)

  5. I'd be more than happy to contribute to that campaign. We've got enough to feed his whole dorm!

  6. I,too, want the candy out of the house. It's great one of the Girl Scout troops at our school collects Halloween candy as one of their service projects and give it all to Catholic Charities (CC). CC includes it in the food bags they give to struggling families or will give a piece to a child accompanying his parents when seeking assistance. I LOVE it - we get rid of it and help others at the same time!

  7. Great photos! Just wondering what was your older son's costume? I have young kids so I guess I don't get the reference. He looks like a nerdy surf dude. I am sure that was not his intention. Please fill us in.

    Thanks

  8. I'm with you on the candy! I freeze the chocolate in the back of the freezer for cookies, milk shakes and add ins to brownies or cakes. Then the "great pumpkin" comes and takes the rest for a small toy or special something. Then the junk gets donated to a collection for soldiers overseas.

    Love the kitty :)
