Growing Fast

We did a little clothes-clean-out because Patrick has grown so much.  Even some of the shorts that fit him in the beginning of summer don't fit anymore! I knew he needed some fall clothes, pants especially.   I made him stand still while I tried things on him as fast as I could.  (A little more on how I organize the kids closets here and here.)

The very next day, I was asked by a company called Tea Collection if I would mind picking out $100 worth of boys clothing in return for a review.  OH, the perks of blogging, not to mention the perfect timing!  Heck yes, thank you very much.  I ordered 3 items (yes, this isn't Target!) and I broke child labor laws and had Patrick model them for you. I will say, honestly, that these are the softest, highest quality clothes that have ever touched this little boy's skin.  (And probably will till he starts buying his own.)

My favorite, so soft and cuddly:

His favorite, the "one with the bike":

And pants that fit:

That just about wore him out, all that work.

Off to play Candy Land, where I purposely put the good cards on top, and I pick from the bottom...it speeds up the game considerably.

  4. We have quite a few Tea Collection items thanks to a very good friend who owns a kids' clothing boutique (www.bundlenyc.com). They last FOREVER, never stretch or wear out even on the 3rd boy wearing them, and they are so unique and well-made. It's by far my favorite for kids' clothes. I only wish I could buy one of everything. The jeans are practically indestructible. Love them!

  8. I absolutely love Tea Collection! Some simple items are pretty reasonably priced and if you buy off season you can get the clearance stuff for a great deal. I think my Tea Collection dresses will last for more babies then I will ever have so I plan to hand them down after I'm done. P.S. Patrick has great taste, the bicycle shirt is my favorite too :).

  11. Sarah, I can't believe you admitted to fixing the Candy Land game! ;) I also can't believe two shirts and a pair of pants = $100! But I guess it's worth it if you buy for your first child and hand them down to your next six! Blessings,

  12. No wonder your kids leave their clothes behind so quickly...you buy it small...Patricks shirts look like after one wash they will shrink and no longer fit him. You should have bought him a couple sizes bigger...long sleeves can always be rolled up ;-)

  15. We did it every Spring and Fall and called it playing "fashion show". The big kids did their own trying on, but had to show me each thing. The little kids lined up and I went 1,2,3 down the line. Sometimes they wanted to show something new (from the hand-me-down boxes) to their dad. It was hard, but fun, and it got all the out of season clothes out of their drawers, so they wouldn't come down in a bathing suit in the winter, or long sleeves in the summer.
