The Week In Review

Easter egg coloring.  Anyone want some hard-boiled eggs?  We can't possibly eat them all!

A snow day. BLAH!

I just finished Me Before You and really liked it.  I am going to start The Last Letter next.

A little spring cleaning-my spice/baking cabinet.  I love spring cleaning but I've only been able to accomplish little bits in fits and starts this year.  It's funny (crazy?) how happy this clean uncluttered cabinet makes me.

A cold weather desperation get-out-of-the-house walk.  We made it once around the block and it took me hours to warm my old bones up.  But Janey didn't mind it at all and Patrick rode his bike, crazy kid.

  2. Sarah - we put blue painters tape on Berber carpet once and didn't have any sticky issues.

  3. Please, please tell me where you got the spice jar holders that attach to the inside of your cabinet! I want them so badly and haven't been able to find them since we left California 8 years ago!

  4. I got the urge to spring clean last week - I only rearranged my "baking" cupboards....but now feeling far less accomplished when I see your lovely cupboard! I like the door spice holders. Mine are in little plastic bins. But it felt good to rearrange. Mine had been in the corner cabinet and I find I am always digging in the corners....A walk is a good idea for you - despite this awful weather! We ent out for one yesterday. It's sooooo hard to motivate - thankfully I had my daughter to help with that!

  6. Hi Sarah - It is still snowy in our parts, too! :( Crazy to think that last year at this time the kids were wearing shorts. Anyway - Japanese washi tape is perfect for making impromptu basketball courts, hopscotch courts (?), etc.

  13. Ship of Brides by jojo Moyes is also a good read about Australian warbrides travelling to meet servicemen husbands on the other side of the world. I really need to sort my baking cupboard too - thanks for the inspiration
That baby is just too edible.

  14. So this is the problem with being a blog stalker, when your favorite bloggers disappear for more than a week, you begin to worry. About people you don't even know. Hope you're on a wonderful beach getaway for Spring Break!

  21. This doesn't apply to this post, but wanted to say that I was rooting even harder for Coach B last night knowing the story of his family through your blog. So sorry they lost, but so proud of how they played and handled themselves. I also thought you might enjoy this, which my husband sent me a few weeks ago. I told him that if they saw one of your huge family pictures, they would understand how just eating subs could be crazy :)
