Here is the rechargeable book light that my kids love and use at night before bed when they do most of their reading!
Here are some other favorite children’s books.
Sarah, I love this!! I posted a similar list on my blog a couple weeks ago for the books I’m requiring my six kids to read this summer (I do this every year; it’s basically books that I think they would love but are unlikely to read on their own). So glad to see your list as most of my kids are halfway done with their summer reading lists already one week into summer break and I need new ideas!
Here’s my list for this year (with links to previous years as well) in case it’s helpful to any other readers. My kids are 16-4. http://theirchronicles.blogspot.com/2021/05/summer-reading-2021.html?m=0
I love all your suggestions so much! I really depend on your ideas for gifts. What is a good idea for an 18 yo boy going off to college and living in a dorm? Perhaps you or your readers have some ideas.
Have they read the Ranger’s Apprentice series? My voracious reader sons have loved those (and I read and loved them too – I like to keep up with my boys’ favorite reads when I can). They are very well-written and wholesome books, but still fun and exciting.
Thank you for these!! I have an avid 12-year old reader and it’s tough to keep him in books. He’s read and enjoyed several on the list—I’ll check out the others.
