We had a chance to go ice skating this winter, and we had such a great time.  Andrew and Patrick are begging to go back even though they spent a lot of time like this:

I love this next picture.  A bored winter weekend picture.  This was taken WAY before the stairway injury….nothing but proper walking up and down the stairs is happening here now, be assured.  But way back then, it was pretty fun.  Desperate fun.

Poor Patrick! And Abbey is going to be PERFECT in that role. She's such a natural, stunning beauty.

I think Disney could have created a beautiful Jasmine without the hoochie mama clothing! 🙂 Abbey will be a beautiful Jasmine and can't wait to see the costume! 🙂

Man! The dental horror – holy cow! Jeff has every right to own the trauma over that one. So glad Patrick is alright. And thanks for the gymbucks reminder. Are they expired now?? Because I can't seem to get myself to the mall for the life of me! As for "Jasmine" – she'll be wonderful. What an honor! Can't wait to hear more details.

Lucky, lucky Patrick to be spared the ER! Lucky, lucky you to hopefully be spared a few dollars when it comes to the bill on that one!

Oh, my goodness- poor little Patrick! Brave boy! Thank goodness you have those resources. I'm sure it meant the world to everyone – especially Patrick when his very own uncle was able to check him out!

Poor Patrick! My boys have always scaled the outside of the stairs, scares me to death even though I do love the sliding photo 🙂 Maybe I should get a picture before they get too big – then ban it!

Sorry your son lost his tooth. That happened to my oldest when he was 17 months. Lost both front teeth. He look like he was in a hockey accident until he was about 5.

Bless his heart!! And I would have gasped too, but more from an Ouch! perpective…poor baby. Glad its better.

And Congrats to Abbey! (they do make "flesh colored" material..that would be my only suggestion for replicating the costume-Jasmine is one of the more immodest princesses, I agree…)

This summer my son, who was only about 16 months old at the time, had a similar dental mishap. He's also down a tooth. I don't blame Jeff for being traumatized, I know I am.

Pam…so sorry to hear about Patrick. that just had to be a traumatic time for everyone! at least Patrick has a great "story" to tell. my kids all love when they get a good "story" out of the tragedy! (how sad is that!!!)

i have been working with Picasa, thanks to you for your great guidance! it is a slow process but at least the ball is in motion.

so, this morning when i sent the kids off to school the thermometer read -13! now that is a whole new kind of COLD for us! painful kind of cold!

    have a great week-

Soooo thankful your Patrick is going to be just fine 🙂 My hubby and his father are dentists…well, my hubby went on to specialize and now he's an orthodontist…but still…it is very handy having them around 😉 Whenever a tooth is loose…and it's driving ME crazy watching them mess around with it….Daddy just numbs it up and takes it right out…right there in the living room 🙂 heeheee 🙂 Our neighbor even comes down to get his teeth taken out 🙂 Have a great week!

My one girl fell and now has a gray front tooth. But it's not suprising since she thinks she's one of the boys.

Poor Patrick, he'll just get more street cred!

What a talented girl Abby is – way to go!

And my boys were doing that on our stairs yesterday too, except on their bellies, and they have the marks to prove it today – ouch!

FYI…just remembered something that may help with costuming Jasmine with a little less tummy showing. If you go here:

    http://disney.go.com/princess/#/jasmine/

there is a game that lets you "dress" Jasmine. It has a bunch of different outfits that Jasmine might wear. Some of them look more like the classic princess dresses, but there are a few that have the genie pants but a top that is less revealing. Totally cheesy, but it may help give Jasmine a few ideas of alternative outfits.

Tell Abby to break a leg!

awe, bless little P's heart! our youngest seems to have ALL of his injuries around his mouth – it does bleed a TON!! More than once, he's bit through his poor tounge – I'm honestly shocked that he has not lost a tooth as well by this point.

Hope Abby has fun in the play – some of my fondest school memeories came from my time on the stage.

And hey – you never know, it may come in handy with the studies one day….I recieved a near full ride to my college with a theater scholarship! 🙂

Poor Patrick or should I say poor Jeff? I don't do well with dental drama either.

I was in drama in high school and it is amazing how well a teenager can manage her time when it's something she wants to do…speaking from experience:)

My 3rd son lost his baby teeth when he was 5. Smashed them in on the playground. They pulled them out and now he is 7 1/2 he is finally getting his teeth.

we love to ice skate! We also live in MN.

The thing with the stairs. Been there!

good luck to the 8th grade acting starlett! she is so pretty!

Patrick is such a trooper!! I love the 1st photo with your bro in law giving Patrick a silly face and Patrick just at ease, knowing all will be OK. We've had several "climbing the outside of the stairs" scares around here, but no lost teeth (and hope it stays like that!).

I'm laughing at that last photo! One day during Xmas break, all was quiet in the house and I knew something was up. Sure enough, my 3 boys (ages 7, 4, 2) had stuffed themselves into a Rubbermaid under the bed type container and were sledding down our stairs. With the baby in front!!! Yikes!!!! I admit, it looked like great fun, but I had to squash that activity super quick!! Glad to see there are other moms sharing my boy inspired nail biting days!!!

Oh no! Poor Patrick! And definitely poor Jeff for sure! My little one knocked his two bottom teeth on his crib at 11 months old, but the dentist was able to save them. And your daughter is beautiful. I am sure you can unhootchie the costume to be perfect for her!

Poor little guy (and Dad and Mom!)! We had a front tooth incident a year or so ago, I also am lucky enough to have a good friend who is a dentis and called right away. The tooth is still a little crooked but still in there and hasn't discolored.

That last pic looks so fun, reminds me of Home Alone!

I am so sorry about Patrick. My owen did the same on our butcher block island when he was the same age. There was so much blood I couldn't tell if it was jammed up or knocked out. we rant to the dentist and it ended up being knocked out. walked back into the kitchen to find the giant tooth+roots on the floor. when ever we sand the island we make sure that we save the spot where his marks are.

Poor Patrick. There is nothing like an accident to turn your world upside down…even if it is momentary. Thank the Lord that you have such fine dentists and oral surgeons in your family…not only does it save the ER trip but you know you are getting THE BEST CARE possible. I can remember my kids flying down the steps like that too! Hugs-Diana

I couldn't tell what the boys were riding on down the stairs in that last picture but if you have a sleeping bag that is silky on the outside… if you pull back on the front you slide down the stairs lickity-split!! I think that may be what this mama of three needs about now.

Bless your precious heart. At least this isn't your first rodeo with little boys. It is only a matter of time before my 2 year old, Boss, does the same thing. No matter how much I tell him not to, he is ALWAYS walking up the outside of the stairs. And that is just one of the things he does that is "all boy," which I am convinced just means he is into EVERYTHING. Good thing these little boys love their mamas so much.

Also, they couldn't have picked a more beautiful Jasmine. What an honor to be chosen for such a role. Bring on the eyeliner!

Sorry to hear about Patrick's dental mis-hap. My daughter (9) fell last October – at home, against a bedside table – and shoved one of her front permanent teeth up in the gum.

So traumatic. She actually had another dentist appointment today about it. The dentists are now fairly confident she'll keep her tooth but the ordeal isn't over yet. She's now the favorite dental patient at our Children's Hospital. I don't think you're supposed to go so often they know you on sight, but that's our life now.

    Praying for Patrick's quick healing!

My kids always have the worst accidents when I leave them with Dad. Not that it's their fault, but it seems to happen that way. My 2 year old had a tooth incident too but he messed up his gumline more than anything, it looked terrible at first. Boys, never a dull moment.
