I love boys with buzz cuts! It's the hip thing to do now. My son and his friends are all giving each other buzz cuts. I don't mind….I think they all look great with the short hair. The past two winters they seem to have been growing their hair and they all have mops of hair during Lacrosse season. Then soon after the season is over they start buzzing off each other's hair. Nice and cool for the summertime. I think they look great. Your son is a cutie…looks older with the "Buzz" I think.

yes – younger!! … someone else to thinks like me … my 3yr old had his first crew cut 2 weeks ago and it is so cute, makes him look like a baby to me and no one else sees it! i think it's because he's more cheek now and that means more baby? i don't know – i love it for summer – my older one (11) doesn't have the head shape for this kind of cut and prefers longer hair anyway … boys!

I just can't decide if he looks older or younger. But I love it. So, so cute.
My oldest (14) and youngest (9) have gone for the buzz cut. Hubs too. And I cannot believe that after all these years of paying someone to cut their hair in whatever way, that Hubs finally bought clippers at Target. The instructions are easy and the boys are happy. I am happy with the time and money savings.

my husband does our cuts at our house and my boys all prefer the buzz cut because then there's no combing of the locks and to them there is nothing worse than holding still for mom to wet and gel their hair!

Nothing beats a Summer buzz cut!

Calvin recently told me, "Ruby gets her hair cut at the beauty parlor, but I get mine cut at the…handsome parlor."

What a handsome boy! Such soulful eyes. . . and don't they show up better without hair to get in the way?

Haircuts always make them look older, don't they? Yes, darn it. But they make YOU look younger–you're not having to worry with his hair, so you can look young and carefree. How's that?

Buzz cuts make a boyish boy look even more BOYISH. It's adorable. Heck I'd get a buzz cut but then I might look even more boyish-not so good.

Took mine to the 'hair hovering' lady too(it's a Japanese thing we have here, the lady does not rince the head at the end of the cut, but hover over it). He is 12 and still needs me to explain what he wants: short.

Your boy looks great, and your blog is fantastic, read it with my teenager girl and we love to agree and sometimes desagree with what you write.

    Take care.

Younger – definitely. My 11 year old just had his buzzed and it makes him look younger (I didn't tell him that thought – but it also helps me avoid the fact that he'll be going to middle school this fall).
