My family is from Holland, I can't believe I never thought of carrying this tradition on! So simple and wonderful.

Thanks for planting this seed Sarah!

Nicely done! I had to work this morning so I missed the reaction. However, I did get a very excited phone call about books, apples and earrings!

Love it! We celebrated, too, and I thought my 2 yr old was going to explode from the excitement!! A few cute little things, but she's just excited that "Sain' Kick-less" brought her candy jewelry:) They're so sweet easy to please when they're so little – I love that. I've been really enjoying seeing and hearing about the holiday traditions in your home – they're so similar to ours(maybe because we're also Catholic??) so it's fun to see similar traditions and to learn about new traditions!

I love the pictures! I'm bummed that I didn't have a chance to take pictures this morning of our shoes before we had to run out the door to church.
    Happy St. Nicks Day!

So fun! We so should celebrate St. Nick's Day! I did as a child and it was so special. Your pictures capturing the moments are beautiful.

Love it! Great photos! We didn't celebrate… having so many problems keeping up with Elf on the Shelf and the kids Advent Scavenger Hunt. Happy Holidays!

My father is from Holland and we used to celebrate Sint-Nicolaas when we were kids. I never thought to pass that tradition on!

I was a nanny in Germany a few years ago and the family I lived with did this. It was very cute and so much fun!
