Halloween Decorations

I know I said I wasn’t going to acknowledge Autumn till October 15, but I succumbed to thepressure. And Halloween is my favorite! Yes, because it involves candy, and for no other reason. Sad to say, but true.

So I went on a little burst of decorating the house last week. I used to love doing this, but I really don’t enjoy it that much anymore. I think it’s because I’m getting older. That thought scared me…the getting older, not enjoying the “fun” stuff anymore thing….so I intentionally forced myself to do it. I went to a couple stores and didn’t find much. And I didn’t really want to spend a lot. I bought maybe $30 worth of things…that big spider on my mirror, somepumpkins, the black birds in my dining room, spider web stuff($1!) and the cheapest white sheet I could find. I decided I was going to use what I have for all the rest. So up to the attic and back to the yard I went.

Andrew was so excited when he got off the bus in the morning, and he couldn’t wait to show the kids “his scary surprises”.

    Super SCARY 😉

I know what you mean about not getting too excited about decorating. I don’t know how that happened??? Maybe I feel tapped out in so many areas that taking the time to locate, set up, and then put away decorations is just so daunting.

Your decorations look great! I dragged all of my boxes up but hardly put any of it out. I think I’m to the point in my life that simplifying seems less stressful.
