She also has the attitude that she is the ONLY one doing anything and each request is such an ordeal. She really can be a lovely girl (although this comment isn't doing a good job of showing that) but I am concerned for her lack of empathy for her parents and siblings.
If you have any ideas for me, I would really appreciate it.
I'm so glad that your sweet daughter is helping you out so much! It's kinda funny now that none of us kids live there anymore and she still buys so much stuff and makes dinner for 5 instead of 2 all the time. Needless to say, getting moms leftovers are the best. ;-)

PS. Abbey, I am glad you buy special treats for yourself as well. The minute I turned 16, my mom handed me the keys and a grocery list. She hated grocery shopping, and I loved the idea of taking the car anywhere, so it was a win-win situation. To this day, I absolutely LOVE grocery shopping. I guess when my sweet girl turns 16 (sooner than I care to think about), I will have to find some other errand for her to run. ;o)Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07865178263916335260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331752969086770281.post-2408313888912672102012-11-27T09:08:36.501-05:002012-11-27T09:08:36.501-05:00I have an Abbey, too. I am always amazed at her energy, after attending an early morning religion class, then school with ap and honors classes, then lacrosse and homework squeezed in, she manages to help me out and happily. I am soo grateful for all my children, especially the Jenny's that have graced my home. Good for you, abbey! My youngest sibling is 20 years younger than me and she's now 17 and in her last year of highschool. We have a close relationship and she's almost more of a daughter to me then sister at times. Anyway... I was def my mama's helper too back in the day...I did countless hours of babysitting and errands. It wasn't always the most exciting and glamourous thing but it sure equipped me for the real world once I got married and our little son was born.
