Back to the coat closet: I like it so much.
It makes such a difference to not have all the coats/shoes/backpacks cluttering up my kitchen.
Hiding things behind closed doors is sometimes lovely isn't it?
And everyone has been very cooperative about putting things in the closet too, for some odd reason I can't quite figure out. I have made it very easy...just hooks, no hangers, and a rug to throw the shoes, no basket or cute shelves. Low expectations=happiness, or something like that.
The wallpaper is a tiny stripe and is actually the same color as the walls in the hallway, but the photo makes the stripes look pinkish.
I did pay a carpenter to hang the boards and the hooks which finished up the project and it was worth every penny I paid him, not only for his expertise but just to finish something I lost steam on.
