I absolutely adore this Post. SO beautiful to be able to see into the different stages and love of family life. I love particularly the missing cookies and sumped stuff. I will have older boys one day and i hope they come home and feel at home always, such a treasure.
I, too, really enjoyed this post. It was so simple and honest, but had a powerful message. There is nothing better than having your whole family together. .
Once all my kids are home, I am always teased because they will catch me watching them with a silly happy "mom grin". There is nothing I love more that watching my kids talk and joke and laugh together. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas with your beautiful family!
So wonderful to have children home! I wonder if you'd tell us what chocolate chip cookie recipe you used? Is it the Toll house recipe on the back of the chips? My husband complains because my chocolate chip cookies aren't soft and warm...hours and days later. He's getting frozen dough for Christmas!
Had to laugh at your comment about Isaac questioning how to sell his textbooks back. We went through that with Katie too! I know you are glad to have him home. I cannot believe that he and Katie are done with one semester already. Seems like just yesterday we were blogging about choosing a college!
I bet it is nice to have everyone home. And such a nice home and family to come home to :)
ReplyDeleteI particularly love the dinner request... ;-)
ReplyDeleteenjoy having your great big family all together this season! xo
ReplyDeleteWonderful to have all the family home for Christmas - enjoy (even the messier/noisier bits).

ReplyDeleteHurray! Glad he's home for the holidays. Those cookies look amazing -- do you have the recipe posted somewhere?
