Our Little Town
Today I am grateful for a beautiful, safe place to raise my family. Yes, sometimes, I will admit, I dream of warmer locations. The winter is way too long for me here. But the spring and summer and fall where I live is absolutely gorgeous and our small little town is right out of a Norman Rockwell print. I have the butcher, the baker, and the candlestick maker all within walking distance from my home. (Not really those places but you know what I mean.) Our neighbors, our little street, is just perfect. Quiet, but friendly, helpful but not nosey. What more could you ask for?

I love your town too! I've followed your blog long enough to see the charm that you describe. Don't know where it is, but it seems like a wonderful place! I live in a charming neighborhood too. With everything within walkable distance too. Parks, a market, pharmacy, salon and more. Charming old homes that people take pride in fixing up and huge old trees that line streets and overlap the road. The only thing we don't have is that big beautiful yard that you do. Our town is too close to our big city.
ReplyDeleteI know that this isn't the first time I've wanted to move to your town just from your description. Love your town posts!!
I too love your town! Every time I see pictures of it, i always think, where is that? I would love to raise my kids in a place like that!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. Your calmness and contentment is evident. That's why I love your blog. You teach me so many things. :)
I too love our town! Your pictures are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with the comments above. Your town is just lovely! (I know that I could not handle the cold though. So I too am happy just where I'm at.)
ReplyDeleteWow, Sarah! These pics are breathtaking! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely! I am done living in our big city and ready to move to a small little, beautiful town!
ReplyDeleteI love your town...I'm guessing somewhere in the Northeast. I love my town, too and I'm a little more South., but not too far South.
ReplyDeleteSo so beautiful! I especially love the sun by that steeple. But don't fall in love with it too much because I'm counting on you moving to the desert and being my neighbor one day...
ReplyDeleteI love to see the beautiful pictures you put up of the town where I also live. Somehow, your pictures make me appreciate living here even more.
ReplyDeleteOh, you are blessed indeed, Sarah. Winters get long, but that makes the summertime all that much sweeter, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful!
I've lived in Florida for 17 years and I miss having 4 distinct seasons. I really miss autumn the most. I don't miss driving in ice and snow so much, but I do miss the crisp air and changing leaves and the smell of fireplaces in the fall. Your town is beautiful and so is your family!
ReplyDeleteI never comment, but I'm a faithful reader. I feel like you live in a real-life Starrs Hollow...the setting of Gilmore Girls...or even that you live back in time. I dream of living in a place like this someday (I'm still unmarried, just started teaching, in my 20s), although, since I do not know you in real life, I have no idea where it is! Thanks for sharing the beauty of life in this town with us lucky readers! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in love... it looks amazing!
ReplyDeletePretty!
