Most of all, I love what I call "a good mail day". A good mail day is not just ads and bills, but maybe a little check from blogging, sometimes a package or maybe a magazine that I can sit and browse through. Yesterday there were 3 packages waiting outside my mailbox- a good booksent from my mom (thank you, Mom!), a new nursing bra I had desperately ordered this weekend, and some cute Christmas presents I had bought on sale for the boys. Isaac's bank statement told me he is a great saver and a careful spender, and that he is working hard while attending school. Our basketball tickets came and I can't wait to cheer my Uncle John on this season. It's going to be a good one.
I don't know why something so ordinary like a 'good mail day' makes me happy, but it does. Maybe it's because sometimes the day at home are long, or a little monotonous, or maybe it's just because I like a surprise here and there. I haven't quite figured it out, but I never want to lose my gratitude for the little things in life that put a smile on my face.
