Just a really awesome $75 gift card to one lucky winner to One Small Child, a company that offers gorgeous heirloom quality Christening gowns and outfits, as well as gifts for special occasions.
For Janey's baptismal gown I picked the Abigail gown. Let me tell you, it was fun looking, and not easy to choose at all. (Just look!) I knew I wanted simple and sweet, not too fancy, and the name sold me on this one.
When it came in the mail Abbey and I went berserk over it. It is beautiful and detailed and high quality right down to the tiny little shoes and bib and I've never owned anything but my wedding dress that was this gorgeous.
We couldn't wait to put Janey in it. We all laughed over how sophisticated and sweet and doll-like she looked.
The boys kept saying, "It's too long, it doesn't fit her!" "That hat makes her look like she is Amish." "What if she has a poop explosion on it?" (Honestly I was a little nervous about that.) "Does she have to wear that all day on her baptism?"
Oh boys, just be quiet and leave us girls alone, can't you see we are enjoying ourselves?
One Small Child would like to give away a $75 gift card to one of my readers.
To enter, just visit the store and leave me a comment to tell me what you would choose to spend it on. I'll draw randomly on Friday and announce the winner.
Good luck!
She is SO cute!
ReplyDeleteI loved that site....love the tiny little boys outfits especially, since I found it much harder to find an outfit for my son's blessing day (the LDS equivalent to a christening). I also loved that they offer LDS Baptism dresses for older girls, as my tiny girls are speeding towards that day as well. Such pretty, pretty things.
Love your blog, love the pics of your new sweet girl, and love the pearl name bracelets!
ReplyDeleteAll the items were all so yummy....so detailed and elegant. I would pick the Bibles. I envision my little girl using that in her wedding someday (sniff):).
ReplyDeleteI love the Holiday outfits!
ReplyDeleteLove the Miss Hannah dress!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous christening dress! Love the smocking! Thank you for the giveaway. I would choose one of the beautiful First Communion dresses for my daughter - the Miss Victoria is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the Aiden outfit! I need this for my son on the way!
ReplyDeleteI'm pregnant with our first, due yesterday...still waiting. We don't know if it's a boy or girl we are waiting to find out but I love the outfit "sawyer" for a little boy and "Ashley" for a little girl.
ReplyDeleteJaney is so cute in hers! Can't wait to play dress up soon!
Your baby is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dresses!
I have three girls, so I would pick the pink Darby flower girl dress in size 12 so all three girls could wear it. (I'm frugal like that!)
The Miss Angelica baptism/communion gown is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJaney looks absolutely adorable. I love the dress you chose!
I have a shoe thing, I love those darling little tiny oxford shoes. I also love the pearl bracelet set.
ReplyDeleteI love the jewelry! My daughter would love the personalized bracelets!
ReplyDeleteI would choose the Miss Janessa christening dress and the Leather Toddler Slippers for my daughter. Janey is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I would choose the Emily Christening dress, stunning!
ReplyDeleteLoved the photos! How precious.
ReplyDeleteI'd get the Johnny Christening Outfit for my nephew.
lifesdeepcolors@hotmail.com
What beautiful things they sell! I would use it on the Winter Sparkle Holiday Dress for my sweet baby girl.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Janey's Christening; she is adorable and looks lovely in her beautiful dress with the tiny shoes! Looks like she loved to wear the bonnet, smiling as she was having it on.
ReplyDeleteI'd choose the towels, both the cotton terry and the linen one ( a couple of them maybe ). Would be beautiful heirloom gifts on baptisms, wouldn't they?
Blessings,
Jeanneke.
Wow, they are all so beautiful, it's hard to just pick one for my favorite. I would go with a gown for our sweet baby (#5).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!!
I'd pick a gift for my best friends upcoming baby dedication. Maybe the cross nib or a name bracelet!
ReplyDeleteI would choose the Miss Hannah baptismal dress. It is beautiful. I would get it for my Grandaughter who lives with me and she could feel like the princess that she is. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love all the dresses, but esp the one with the eyelet detail- the Daisy dress. For boys, I like the Brakkin outfit, though he'd likely hold it against me for making him look like the Pillsbury Doughboy.
ReplyDeleteI would love a christening outfit for my new baby boy joining us in March, although I'd probably get some nice onesies, too. I'm such a sucker for a soft white onesie. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the name bracelets! Janey looks beautiful in her outfit!
ReplyDeleteIts exquisite just perfect for Janey. She looked like she was enjoying herself being dressed up too.
ReplyDeleteI like the Victoria dress. But I love Janey in her dress with her sweet smile. She is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous baby, and beautiful website! The Ashley dress and monogrammed bible.
ReplyDeleteMy little ones are too big for the clothes but that plaid dress made my ovaries twitch... I loved the pearl name bracelet and silver flower bangle. Petunia is big enough for jewelry and I can't wait to buy her a piece. I also like the 1st communion gowns but they are a bit formal for our faith (Lutheran).
ReplyDeleteJaney is precious in her gown. I wish I knew about this site when my children were baptized. The boys wore a white velour Carter's sleepsuit for their baptisms and petunia wore a cream sweater set that had been my Mom's when she was baptized.
Oh my heavens! Janey looks like a porcelain doll in that gorgeous dress. What a beautiful catalog to peruse. A First Holy Communion dress would certainly be a fun buy for my little girl.
ReplyDeleteShe is just a precious, precious baby!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteJaney is so adorable! And that Baptismal gown is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for holding the giveaway! I would buy the Miss Victoria dress for my Maggie's 1st Communion this spring. She was a preemie and still a tiny little thing, so her older sister's dress is going to be too big.
What a beautiful Christening dress for Janey! Thank you for the link to this great store. My daughter is making her communion in the spring and one of the veils would match her dress perfectly. (Butterfly Tiara Combo Veil) I would also get her some cross socks and a pair of gloves.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great photos!
What a wonderful site, I will share it on FB. It may sound funny, but I really love the slips. It is so hard to find slips for my girls. They also just chimed in, and said that they want the silver cross for their bedroom:)
ReplyDeletePS- Janey looks absolutely beautiful!
I'm a mom of three boys and I'm expecting a "surprise" in April. If I was blessed with a baby girl, I'd love to get the Mandi Christening dress for her. I've never had the joy of dressing up a live doll, so this would be a special treat!
ReplyDeleteSweet Janey is the perfect model for that dress. They're both beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI would pick the Annie dress. It's simple yet stunning!
Oh my GOODNESS!!!! Janey looks absolutely stunning and cute! (My husband likes to use the word "cutiful" in times like this). :)
ReplyDeleteYou know, the gowns are gorgeous, but I have actually been longing for some of their bodysuits for my daughter...and definitely an after-christening dress!
ReplyDeleteThese dresses are beautiful. I would love the Annie gown! The scalloped bonnet is precious!
ReplyDeleteMiss Hanna , miss janessa, or miss Angelica , I can't decide. I'm so excited that you posted this. My girls are going to be flower girls at my sister's wedding in March. We've been having so much trouble finding the perfect dress. And now I have 3 to choose from!
ReplyDeleteI love the blankets! I'd get one for our new baby girl and one for my brother and his wife who will have their first baby in a couple of months!

ReplyDeleteYour little Janey looks way too precious!

ReplyDeleteI love the Clarice gown. We're in the market for a Christening dress too. My daughter is one now and won't fit into the gown her sister was Baptized it, which was my gown when I was Baptized.
The bonnet put me over the cuteness edge! Such a beautiful baby girl!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so sweet in her gown. This is a great giveaway - love learning about new online shops. I really love the Sydney gown.

ReplyDeletedemureprincess7(at)gmail(dot)com
Love the dresses! I have a daughter getting baptized next year, this would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely get a christening gown for Taliana- hers is coming up in the next few months. We're Protestant and at our baby christenings people generally just go with a fancy dress, but not quite the full on long white gown. I happen to love those long white gowns, though, and I'd be thrilled to put her in one, bonnet and all!
ReplyDeleteLove the Annalise & Ashley dresses, having my daughter baptized after first of the year!
ReplyDeleteOH! I'd buy the exact same dress you got for Janey. So beautiful and simple and pretty!
ReplyDeletei love OSC. Our next baby is due in January....i'd choose the "Daniel" outfit for his baptism. thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteThe dress you chose is beautiful. We hav a dress and bonnet that have been passed down for several generations but we really need to add to the set so I'd buy some shoes and a bib as those are two things that would complete the set.
ReplyDeleteyour janey looks like a little victorian doll, darling pictures. love the smocking on the dress.
ReplyDeletewould love to enter your give-away, thank you for the chance. i'm in need of a first communion dress this coming spring. love the dress with the cross in the smocking.

ReplyDeleteJaney looks precious in that gown - wow!!
ReplyDeleteAt this point I would pick out a gift for the next christening we are invited to, unless we adopt #2 soon, in which case I would pick out an outfit for a christening!
Janey is so cute! So fun to see her grow. Right now I think I would choose the Daniel Christening outfit, but I might change my mind if baby #8 turns out to be a girl. Thanks

ReplyDeleteThe Annalise Christening Gown is my favorite! Love it! I have a sweet 3 week old that would be adorable wearing it! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI am pregnant with twin girls - #6 & 7 and I will need a gown for each of them. I love the Abigail gown too - maybe it's because I have a daughter named Abigail too,
ReplyDeleteAs we'll have one getting baptized in the Spring, I'd love to go shopping toward a dress here.

ReplyDeleteoooooo, she is so pretty! What a fun giveaway. I would love love love to buy a cute christening dress for a baby girl, but I have this feeling my next child is a boy (I'm not pregnant yet, just a premonition). So I'll have to swing for one of the boy outfits.

ReplyDeleteFor me, it's a tie between the Charlotte and Abigail. I would have a hard time deciding! They are all so beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI love your blog. Thank you for posting such thoughtful sentiments of your lovely family. My son is to be Baptized in our church (Lutheran) and I love the Aiden christening outfit. I bought him an outfit at a really good bargain at an antique store and he outgrew it before all our family could gather and have his baptizm! Figures. Thanks and good luck to me!!
ReplyDeleteHow darling! You picked the perfect gown for her. So so cute.
ReplyDeleteMy littlest is due any day now and I would love for her to wear the Ashley Satin Christening Gown. Such a beautiful store. Thanks for the chance to win!

We have a gown that all of the babies have worn (made out of the same fabric as my wedding gown)so I think once the baby was born and we find out whether it's a boy or a girl, I'd choose something for the layette or, if a girl, a nice piece of jewelry.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, yet simple. I adore girly things without being too frilly. My sister just had a baby girl (after having two boys, woohoo!) so I would buy my beautiful niece a dress for Christmas and maybe one more for Easter too. ReplyDeleteThe Roman suit for a little boy would be perfect for Christmas for my little guy! There is no way he would be getting dressed up this nice if not for a gift card!
ReplyDeleteI already have a baptism gown that both my boys have worn and their soon to arrive baby brother will wear as well but we never had the money for all of the cute accessories that you can get! ReplyDeleteOh, Janey looks so so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBut look at all the boys things too! When my first godson was born, my BFF had an outfit, sweet and simple, picked out for the baptism. Then... Then the mother in law came. She had her own ideas. The child was in the 99th height % but she brought with her a tiny and hideous gown. She tried to squeeze child into it, but he just wouldn't fit. So, she ran around on the night before, looking for "suitable" alternatives. She found a bigger, but not big enough, and quite obyzmal looking 2 piece. The child's sideswere hanging out and he was shaking in the cold winter day in church. My 2 year old even said oh no, baby cold! So, since god child 2 is also due to be a winter baby in just a few months, can't wait, if I win, his mama can give her mother in law the site, knowing that it can't go wrong, since the woman is frugal and will be glad to use a free certificate. And if not, maybe the fairy god mother will buy a certificate for her anyway!
I would get the mother & child pearl bracelet set for my 5 year old daughter and myself. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many beautiful things to choose from. I would use the gift card to buy a christening gown for our baby girl (our first child) that is due in March.

ReplyDeleteI would get my daughter one of their beautiful baptismal dresses. They are lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful! I would love to get one for my little niece. She is being blessed in a few weeks and my brother is still in school so he and his wife don't have a lot of money. His wife is just planning to sew one with a plain white onesie and some plain white fabric for the skirt. So I would get them either the Ashley or the Clarice.

ReplyDeleteI love your son's comments on Amish Janey and her poop explosions. Too funny. Made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteChoose me :) We are planning my daughters' baptisms right now... both of my girls are adopted but we had to wait on official county paperwork in order to have them baptised per our archdiocese. Anyway.... while waiting for the official paperwork my older baby girl outgrew her christening gown so I'd use the certificate to buy a new larger sized gown. I esp love the "charlotte" gown.
ReplyDeleteI would love to purchase the Aiden outfit for my 13 day old son, Owen. Just precious! Love your blog - thanks for being honest and REAL. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Charlotte gown!!
