Janey was one month old on Sunday.
I can't even believe it-it's gone SO fast.
She celebrated by staying up till 1:30 in the morning, partying hard-drinking, burping, drinking some more, making some noise. She usually gives me a good 3 hour stretch in between feedings at night but not that night. Monday was definitely one of those fuzzy brain days for me.
I attempted a little photo shoot but for the life of me I just am not timing it right and getting that good shot. She is just like Abbey was-I tease Abbey all the time because she was the most un-photogenic baby ever- always making some odd expression or closing her eyes right when I pressed the button or just generally looking weird. And Janey is making me believe that she is following in her sister's footsteps. In fact Abbey and I both cracked up when we saw all the outtakes. She is always looking so serious with those little forehead muscles all crinkled up.

So sweet! I love the little serious look! Well, Abbey is making up for it now as she is so beautiful and photogenic without even trying now! I'm sure Janey will follow suit.
ReplyDeleteShe is BEAUTIFUL! How fun too for Abbey to to finally have a sister. What fun they will have as Abbey grows into an adult and Janey gets to grow up with a big, big sister! They'll have a special bond!

ReplyDeleteTaking good shots of your own newborn is hard, right? You don't have the mom to help you, because you are the mom. When pup's sleeping soundly you really don't want to mess with that, and you'd really rather just sit and read, or sleep for that matter, because you're so darn tired. So many factors need to align to get the good shot and it's HARD I found. But I'm with Abbey -- you've gotta at least give it a go!
