My other favorite event, just this year, is sand volleyball. Just this year because I have pica. Do you know what pica is? It's a condition that sounds super weird because it is-weird cravings of non-food items. It is pregnancy related, and a side effect if you could call it that, of having anemia and/or mineral deficiency. Sand and dirt (nice fine dirt) looks amazingly appetizing to me. (Yes my family makes endless fun of me for this-I had it pregnant with Abbey also.) Sand and dirt make my mouth water. Really, I'm not kidding. And NO I do not actually EAT it (I remember someone once asking me, "Well how much do you eat a day?" with a look of disgust on her face), I do have enough smarts and possess enough self-control to know that would not be a good idea. I'm not a huge volleyball fan but that beautiful white perfect powdery sand on the court looked delicious and is worth watching a match or two or three.
I think the most boring-est sport of all is water polo. And the men look so silly with their huge chests and legs and teeny tiny butts with teeny tiny suits on that show way too much of their teeny tiny butts. I am glad I caught a glimpse of the sport though because it reminded me that I want to buy one of these for the baby.
A Hanna Anderson pilot cap.
Just as cute.
