Encouragement For The Week

"It is very important that children learn from their fathers
and mothers how to love one another-not in school,
not from the teacher, but from you.
It is very important that you share with your children
the joy of that smile.
There will be misunderstandings;
every family has its cross, its suffering.
Always be the first to forgive with a smile.
Be cheerful, be happy."
Mother Theresa

  5. So simple, so true. Last week our priest commented in his homily when talking about parents being the first teachers, that if we teach them soccer at 3 years old, we better be teaching them prayers at 2 years old. So true!

  6. A beautiful quote, I love your encouragements for the week. This one really hit home for me. I´m striving to become a better person so I can be a better parent, I´m finding that to do so you really have to dig deep. It´s good to be reminded for whom I´m doing all this digging.

  7. The Mother Teresa quotes you post are some of my favorites-they usually end up in my kitchen near the sink, where I see it often. Have a good week, Sarah.

  12. That's a good one. I like that she pointed out that there's going to be trouble at times, but do keep trying anyway. Mother Theresa was an inspiring woman. I've got to read her biography someday!
