When we focus on what is good and beautiful in someone, whether or not we think that they "deserve" it, the good and the beautiful are strengthened merely by the light of our attention.
When we choose to see and appreciate what is good and beautiful in our children, the goodness can't help but grow, and their beauty blossoms forth.

Beautiful... and so, so true! Lovely quote!
All I have to say is that you take the cutest pics! This one would be adorable in black & white!
I loved this book. I'm selling my copy on Amazon if any of your readers are interested in owing a cheaper copy. My store is "Being Home Books". Crazy how big Patrick is getting. By the way, I noticed that you read "Simplicity Parenting". How did you like it overall?
So very true! What a fantastic picture of Patrick!!
I just started reading "Simple Abundance" by Sarah Ban Breathnach and your post is such a nice follow-up to my reading last night. My middle child is such a "passionate" child and her pendulum swings back and forth fiercely right now. She is either extremely happy or extremely upset at her tender age. But she is a joy to watch and has such spirit. This post helps me focus on her wonderful energy, rather than the upsetting tantrums :) Thank you Sarah!
What a sweet post...it is lovely with the picture! hugs, cathy
I love Katrina's book! Wise words for a fresh start this week.

Great quote. Thanks for sharing!
Oh, I needed that! That's something I've started working on a lot with my oldest who is a rather difficult child for me to parent. I have to work really hard to see the good in him instead of thinking he's just out to be a pain. Thanks for the reminder!
Awesome quotation and so very, very true! Thank you for the reminder. I look forward to your posts and check in daily, you are such an inspiration :)
I needed to read that today, thanks for sharing!
