This Week's Celebrity Interview: Kami

Kami has the cutest blog ever...my favorite kind...funny and filled with awesome photography.
Here's a little intro:

Kyle and I have been married 9 1/2 years. We both grew up in Utah where we currently live. We met while working at a restaurant and attending rival schools: I was at the University of Utah while he was attending Brigham Young University. Kyle is a financial advisor and I am a stay at home mom of two. Our two children: Avery Jane who is 6 and Aiden Jack who is 7 mo. We also have a dog named Rukkus who we have had for 7 years.

1. What's the most difficult circumstance you ever had to deal with?Infertility, and specifically the unknown of my infertility. After all that we have been through and tried, we still have no definite answers.

2. Fondest childhood memory:
One of my favorites...was taking turns with my siblings playing on our Murphy Bed that we had in our first house. (A Murphy Bed is a bed that folds up into a closet in the wall.) We used to take turns being smashed up into the wall with the bed up right. We had so much fun with it. Although I am now a bit claustrophobic...hmmm, I wonder why. :)

3. Most insulted you have ever been?
hmmm...probably when I was in the fifth grade a boy called me a b*#%@. I don't think I had really even heard that word before then, but the way he said it, I knew it wasn't nice...um, HELLO. ;)
4. Something you think you are really good at:Following through. I get these ideas in my head and I usually try to make them happen. Sometimes it's not a good thing, especially when I see all the money spent on a silly craft, which just started out as a good idea.

5. The moment you knew you could marry your husband.I don't think there was really one moment that stands out to me, there were a lot of different things...like when I saw how he was with my family and how he was with his family, or the way he made me feel when we were together, really there were so many factors.
6. Favorite job:My Current Job...Wife and mother. I am loving this stage in my life. I love all the aspects of being a stay-at-home mom.
- I feel so blessed to be able to be with our kids as much as I am.
- I love all things domestic: cooking, cleaning, crafting...you name it, although somedays it feels like a lot of work, so I need to remind myself of how lucky I am.
- I love that I can be on my own clock, not someone elses.

7. Who would you like to be for a day?
ooooh...that is a tough one. Fergie - because she is married to him. ;)
Martha - because I would love to live in her beautiful home and have her t.v. job.
Oprah - because I would love to interview celebrities and have a home in Hawaii.

8. Mistake you made that taught you more lessons than you ever wanted to learn:
I once ate a Lemon Bar (Lemon Square) prior to a surgery where I wasn't suppose to eat or drink for 12 hours before. It sounds simple and silly, but it turned out to be such an embarrassment. Doctors had to rearrange schedules... I felt awful, not to mention that I was already an emotional wreck. I learned a lot of lessons that day, and from now on...I will never look at a lemon bar the same way. ;)

9. Best food you ever ate:
Filet Mignon at a wedding luncheon for some friends in San Diego. It was so tender, you could cut it with a fork. That whole meal was memorable. Yum!

10. Favorite candy:
Current favorite: Chocolate Covered Cinnamon Bears

11. Favorite vacation spot:
Whitefish Lake, Montana. I have been going there for years with my Mom's family. It is my happy place.

12. Two or three thoughts about religion:
1. It helps give direction to my life.
2. I think it is so important for young children.
3. It helps us cope with trials and understand the bigger picture.

13. Cosmetic you couldn't live without:
Mascara! and an eyelash curler and eyeliner if I could have three...c'mon, let me have three. ;)

14. What do you want most for your children? For them to be self confident, self reliant, kind, giving people...all the best.

15. In 20 years, you see yourself doing what?I would love to be traveling the world with Kyle and our kids, running a business...something fun and creative. Possibly a Grandma! Crazy to think that far into the future.

16. Having gone through the process yourself, what's your best advice for a couple looking to adopt?
That the destination is well worth the journey. Also to get in line right away. If you know you want more children, don't wait for things to happen, you have to be proactive.

17. Who's the funniest person you know?
Probably my friend and blog buddy Mindi, she cracks me up daily.
18. Favorite quote:I have lots, and I usually end up putting them on my sidebar. Right now it is the one by Dr. Seuss -
Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.
